here is no defined time for sentence. Nevertheless, a rapper's lawyer asked for an accelerated sentencing date, according to a US Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York spokesperson.
The "Wake Up" artist was charged with drug trafficking conspiracy in October and detained along with five other people. He was granted bail of $500,000, which was revoked earlier this month after authorities claimed he violated the conditions by threatening to kill someone and brandishing a gun during a FaceTime call in December.
He admitted guilt to a crime that carries a required minimum term of five years in jail, but the actual sentence may be anywhere between 87 and 108 months in prison, based on a number of different criteria.
According to the indictment, Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Junior Maxwell II, and the others charged allegedly transported and distributed substances throughout Long Island, including cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl.
According to an affidavit, Maxwell was hauled back into custody on August 8 following the FaceTime incident in which he threatened to "kill you and everybody you with" after pointing a gun at the man.
The prohibition on Maxwell "possessing a firearm, destructive device, or other weapon" was one of the bail conditions. He "must not break any federal, state, or municipal law," according to another.
